It was an outstanding week for SMA Athletics, filled with school records and big wins.
Softball continues to shine, tying the school record of 11 wins in a single season—with 10 games still remaining on the schedule. This team is making history and is not finished yet.
Our Girls Golf team had a tremendous showing at the William Chrisman Invitational, earning a 1st place team finish. Their hard work and consistency paid off in a big way.
On the football field, Max Thomas delivered a moment to remember, setting a new school record with a 50-yard field goal. A remarkable achievement that capped off a great team win against Pembroke Hill.

We welcomed families from Diocesan Catholic Schools in Jackson County for a night of fun, games, and giveaways before cheering on the Guardians to a 31–16 victory over Pembroke Hill.

Over two days at Prairie Star Ranch, students reflected on three big questions:

Where are you going?
Through Mass, witness talks, small groups, games, Adoration, and personal reflection, our seniors had the opportunity to pause, look back on their high school journey, and look ahead with courage and faith.
We are proud of our Class of 2026 and pray for them as they lead our community this year and prepare for life beyond SMA!

Last week, we were blessed to welcome over 300 grandparents to St. Michael for our annual Grandparents Day!
Our SMA community gathered for Mass, fellowship, and tours of the school—celebrating the special role grandparents play in the lives of our Guardians. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this joyful day!

Today, in our welcome home ceremony, new students were sorted into their houses and communities, where they were greeted with joyous applause by their new family of upperclassmen. We're happy to have all our students back in school and look forward to a great year of learning, service, faith, and fun!

Today, we welcomed the class of 2029 for their new student orientation! Students were greeted by the faculty, staff, and community captains before an exciting day of prayer, fun, and new friends. We can't wait to see what this year has in store!
