Today, we had the privilege of hosting the Catholic College Fair on campus. Around 30 Catholic colleges and universities from across the country joined us to meet with our juniors and seniors, sharing opportunities to grow in faith and academics after high school.
We are grateful to our visiting colleges for investing in our students’ futures and excited to see where God calls our Guardians next!

St. Michael Softball had a great weekend at the Winnetonka Invitational! The team went 3-1, earning 2nd place. Shortstop, Lyla Ventimiglia, and Pitcher, Sophie Young, both received All-Tournament Honors. Way to go, Guardians! We can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds.
The Guardian golfers had a great outing at the Ray-Pec Invitational today! The team of Leah Simmons, Molly McNamara, Carly LeNeave, Ella Seaton, Aria Callahan, and Amelia Seelbrede had a total team score of 142, which tied them for 1st, and after a scorecard playoff, officially placing 2nd.
Additionally, the duo of Leah and Molly placed 3rd, and Carly and Ella placed 6th.

One of the unique blessings of SMA is that daily Mass is offered on campus, giving our students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to begin each day grounded in prayer and the Eucharist. We strive to lean on faith in all we do, and love that our community is centered on Christ.

We're thrilled to welcome Matt Lorang as our new Sophomore and Junior Theology Teacher! Matt graduated with a BA in Philosophy from Conception Seminary College, an MA in Theology and Educational Ministry through Catholic International University, and is working toward a Master's in Theology from Holy Apostles College. We look forward to the great impact he will have on our students and can't wait for you to meet him this year!

Last night was our new family picnic. Incoming freshmen and their families attended Mass, followed by yard games and food. Thank you to the SMA Parent Club, community captains, and SMA staff for helping with the event. We're excited to welcome all of our new families and can't wait to see all our new students on Wednesday for orientation!

25-26 Community and House Captains had the opportunity for fun and teambuilding today at Activate Games! They've been on retreat this week, prepping to welcome everyone home to start the school year. We're looking forward to seeing them in action next week!
Thanks to the incredible support of our Fund-A-Need donors at the Guardian Bash Auction, 260 brand-new classroom chairs and new hallway furniture have arrived on campus. Our Guardian football players pitched in to help unload them. Now, every classroom will be ready for students this fall! Thank you to all the generous donors who made this possible!
We're excited to introduce Meg Burke as our new SMILE Zone educator! Meg grew up in Kansas City and graduated with a Masters from Avila University. We're lucky to have her passion and dedication to special education on our team and can't wait for her to start this fall!

2024-2025 was an incredible year for Guardians Athletics. With a State Runner Up Soccer team, and 33 athletes with All-State Honors, we couldn't be more proud of our Guardians. We can't wait for what comes next year!
A warm welcome to another addition to the SMA family this school year, Gabriel Sappington! Gabriel is from Peculiar, MO, went to Conception Seminary College, and will be teaching Theology this year. You might also recognize him as the brother of our chaplain, Fr. Sappington. We're incredibly excited to have him on board and look forward to the positive impact he'll have on our students!
