The Engineering and Explorations students had an interesting class today! They were to build structures that prevent a raw egg from breaking when dropped from various heights.
"Some designs were better than others...the best ones were attentive to finding ways to reduce the terminal velocity of the egg, and/or finding ways to redirect the impact of the shock away from the egg upon landing. The creativity of the students in finding different ways to use the same materials was refreshing to see." - Fr. Paul Sappington

Today we celebrate our incredible students as part of Catholic Schools Week! The theme for today is "Anything but a Backpack" and our Guardians did not disappoint!
"St. Michael is a school that strives to live out its mission of calling students through a relationship with Jesus Christ--in the midst of a mixed-up world--to Know Truth, Love God, and Serve Others as His brave and humble disciples. We are privileged to have the community system where so many teachers and students devote their energy to providing experiences that allow other students to experience that they are known, seen, and loved especially by God and his Church." - Fr. Paul Sappington

What a way to kick off Catholic Schools Week! Thank you to The Guard for treating our students and staff to Chris Cakes pancakes for lunch on PJ Day!
"I believe a Catholic education is important because students are taught important Catholic values throughout their daily lessons, such as seeking truth and serving others, which ultimately prepares them to be virtuous citizens in school and beyond." - Ms. Claire Wunder Teacher
