Current 8th graders applying for the 9th grade are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). This step is part of the Admission Checklist. A waiver may be applied to certain students. Typically, student will not be considered for acceptance until test results are returned. It is recommended the test be taken at the December test date to advance the admission process sooner. The HSPT helps us determine the appropriate class placement as a student at St. Michael. There is a $25 fee to take the test. To register for the test click HERE.

HSPT Prep Class!
If your student is registered to take the HSPT at St. Michael the Archangel, they are invited to attend the HSPT Prep Class for FREE! Students will learn test taking tips, work through math problems and reading content that will be presented on the exam. Class will be held on November 20, 2024. Any current high school student transferring from another high school will be asked to interview with administration. Once St. Michael administration receives and reviews the submitted application and the previous school’s records, a transfer interview appointment will be set with our administration team. This is to identify and address the needs of each student and family and to foster an open and productive partnership with our families.

*St. Michael accepts transfer students from other high schools at semester breaks only.
