Weekly Eucharistic Adoration

SMA is blessed to offer Adoration each week on Fridays in our Chapel of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The students and staff at SMA have the option to attend each week. We also would like to invite our outside community to join together in prayer. Please feel free to sign up HERE under the “Outside Community” column. When you arrive at school, please check-in with Mrs. Berry in the Academic Office to receive your visitor’s pass. We ask that you arrive 5 minutes early to allow enough time to check-in and make it to your time with Our Lord.

What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist.  The Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance, and people come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day. Christ’s great love for us was shown when he was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and give us eternal life. He loves us without limit, and offers Himself to us in the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist. Can we not give Jesus a few minutes of love and adoration in return?

“The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth. Each moment that you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him and make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven, and will help bring about everlasting peace on earth,” – St.  Mother Teresa of Calcutta
