SMA offers Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesday’s from 8:30am to 3:00pm in the Chapel of the Most Sacred Heart. We would like parents, family and friends to volunteer for an hour so the Blessed Sacrament is not left unattended. We will have 2 adorers scheduled per hour. The first shift begins at 8:30am. If you are not able make your shift please ask someone to fill in for you or contact Katie Lucas at email@example.com. Please prayerfully consider signing up.
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance, and people come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day and often the night. Christ’s great love for us was shown when he was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and give us eternal life. He loves us without limit, and offers Himself to us in the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist. Can we not give Jesus a few minutes of love and adoration in return?
“The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth. Each moment that you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him and make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven, and will help bring about everlasting peace on earth,” – St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
