BeAlert is the awareness and prevention strategy of The Stop Trafficking Project to end domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST).

PRESENTATIONS FOCUS ON THE ROLE SOCIAL MEDIA PLAYS IN EXPLOITING VULNERABILITIES.

BeAlert has two simple goals:

  • Adults – move them from awareness to action
  • Students – educate and empower them to be safer

POTENTIAL WORDING TO USE IN PROMOTING THE CARING ADULT COMMUNITY PRESENTATION:

Gaming. Does your student struggle with putting the console down?

Social media. Do you truly know how it impacts your student?

Smart phones. We give them to ‘keep our kiddos safer.’ At what cost? And we don’t mean the monthly bill!

Screen time. Is there any other time?

Pornography and your student. Addictive? Harmful? Appropriate? Helpful?

Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST): What do you know? What do you need to know?

BeAlert to ways students in your community are vulnerable to being exploited. Sadly, this can and does include sexual exploitation. In the worst-case scenarios we see students falling victim to Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST).

Join us for a candid and high energy BeAlert presentation where three words have the power to change your perspective. For good. For our students. For you to become educated and empowered to make a difference.
