The science department at Saint Michael the Archangel High School (SMA) has awarded the student of the month award to Connor Adams for October. Connor was nominated by his aviation instructor, Dr. Brady. Connor consistently obtains the highest grades on quizzes and exams given in aviation class. Additionally, Connor adds valuable content to class discussions and his questions show intellectual thought and reasoning. Furthermore, Connor’s participation in class projects aids to his own and his peer’s understanding of the base principles of fluids and fluid flow. Connor is currently in his second year of aviation, at SMA, and he has plans to become an aeronautical engineer.
Dr. Brady joined the aviation department at SMA, this year, following the retirement of Mr. Schneeberger. Dr. Brady brings to SMA, and the aviation department, extensive aviation and engineering expertise. Dr. Brady’s qualifications include a PHD in engineering, Certified Flight Instructor in airplanes and gliders and Flight Test Engineer in the US Air Force. Dr. Brady retired from Lucent Technologies Bell Labs as Engineering Manager for Military and Satellite Systems. Finally, Dr. Brady worked for the FAA as the Engineering Avionics Specialist.
