The St. Michael the Archangel Science Department has awarded junior aviation and astronomy / meteorology student, Mr. Christopher Rizzi as science student of the month for May, 2019. Mr. Rizzi was nominated by his science instructor, Mr. Walter. Mr. Walter welcomes the positive attitude, enthusiasm and academic excellence Chris displays in the classroom. Also, Chris asks intelligent questions and is continuously intrigued with science.
Chris enjoys both of his science classes he is enrolled in at SMA. In aviation class, Mr. Rizzi loves the wisdom of Mr. Schneeberger, as he shares stories of serving in the US Air Force and his time spent as a civilian pilot. Chris’s favorite part of meteorology class is investigating space and weather. Mr. Rizzi is grateful for the teachers at SMA as they make catholic faith an important part of the student’s education by integrating Christian teachings into their coursework. Additionally, Mr. Rizzi enjoys the modern, state of the art, facility at SMA where teachers encourage critical thinking and problem solving.
